Embarking on an apprenticeship marks the commencement of a journey towards a prosperous career. It offers individuals the opportunity to cultivate a skill or trade within a professional setting, garnering invaluable practical experience alongside attaining industry-recognised qualifications.
An apprenticeship presents a credible alternative to traditional higher education pathways, affording participants the chance to amass substantial work experience in their chosen field whilst receiving financial remuneration and earning academic credentials. No longer confined to just the youth or those with limited expertise, apprenticeships are now increasingly adopted as a means of enhancing the skill sets of existing staff.
At TPS, we are dedicated to guiding you through every phase of the transport planning technician apprenticeship, from initial consultation to the delivery of tailored training programmes. Additionally, we provide comprehensive support in crafting a polished CV and honing interview skills.
Our commitment extends to collaborating closely with employers to ensure alignment with their requirements, facilitating your seamless integration into the workforce. With our team of seasoned specialists at the helm, possessing extensive experience in apprenticeship delivery, you can rest assured that you are in capable hands.
This apprenticeship programme holds accreditation from esteemed bodies such as the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and the Transport Planning Society (TPS).
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will fulfil the criteria for registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) with CIHT or as a Transport Planning Technician (TPTech) with TPS. Additionally, you will attain a BTEC Level 3 diploma in Transport Planning as an integral part of the programme. Currently, the programme is conducted remotely via MS Teams, supplemented by quarterly face-to-face meetings to provide ongoing support and review progress with both the apprentice and their employer.
